The Dinner Weekend – 20th-22nd September 2024 – no celebration is complete without a Dinner and particularly for the SCY whose history is full of celebratory dinners, be that for anniversaries, club nights, civic occasions or just for fun.
This weekend will however be more than just another dinner, in addition to the usual ringing as there will also be guided walks and talks plotting the history of the SCY. We hope too to have a special one-off Frank King demonstration. This will also be an opportunity to get your signed copy of That Book
The Dinner – This will be held at Trinity College Cambridge with The Maypole booked for after dinner entertainment. All members, their partners and friends of the society welcome! Details
Ringing over the Weekend – There will be peals/quarters as well as some open ringing during the weekend. If you are interested (if only in principle at this stage) in ringing a peal/quarter then please let us know via 300@scy.org.uk
Walks and Talks – We are planning on having a couple of walks (working title…History of SCY in Pubs and lost towers of Cambridge) and Talks (History behind the old peal boards – in the Ringing Room) led by Dr Gareth Davies.
