Ringing at GSM

Visitors are most welcome but we ask that you, where possible, contact the Master or Secretary (see links below) in advance please.

Current ringing Times are  Sunday: 9.00-10.00am and 4.00-5.00pm (when on BST) or 3.00-4.00pm (when on GMT) and Monday: 7.00-9.00pm practice night. Entrance is via the West Door and up the stairs behind the Font.

On practice nights the door is locked and accessed via a key fob. Contact the Master Dave Richards or Secretary Patrick Brooke to arrange to be let in.

HawkEar, a system which records and analyses bell-ringing, is routinely used at Great St Mary’s. Contact the Master or Secretary if you would like further information on how it used or how to access the system whilst at the tower or after the session.

Note: On occasions when the tower is open to the public all ringers wishing to ascend/descend the tower should liaise with the GSM staff on the tills. Please see the following guidance document produced in consultation with the GSM staff for details:
